In Krk town, the old centre and the harbour belong to the same walk. Follow the streets around the cathedral towards Kamplin and the Frankopan Castle, then return to the waterfront. Stone, shade and sea sit close together; the pleasure is in moving slowly between them.
Visit the centre in the morning and return to the harbour at dusk. The changing light makes a familiar route feel different. Krk town is a useful first-visit base for heritage and evenings on foot, but check your accommodation’s actual location: an address labelled Krk need not be inside the old centre.
