Close to the bridge and Rijeka Airport, Omišalj is easy to pass on the way south. Pause instead. Its elevated historic centre offers an early encounter with the island’s old lanes and coastal views. Krk does not begin only when you reach its most familiar photographs.
Give the centre a short walk at the beginning or end of your stay. Travel days can hold a place of their own, without another ambitious itinerary. If you stay here for airport access, check the transfer itself: nearby does not necessarily mean a bus runs when you need it.
